As our new member points out, he was "Gustav Graves," the villain of
"Die Another Day," the last of Pierce Brosnan's James Bond films.

Speaking of whom, although I'm not generally a fan of the whole
"Saint=Bond" thing that sprang up when Roger Moore got the Bond role,
Brosnan could also be a good choice for the Saint. His "Remington
Steele" character was not too far from Simon, if you think about it.
