I caught a glimpse of him on a children's programme a couple of years ago, and far from Grunt's character of a non-lovable thug, he struck me (oops!) as being quite an articulate, intelligent and likeable bloke!

I didn't see Extras, but with the roles in Eastenders and Ultimate Farce, I think he allowed himself to be somewhat typecast.

However, he did do very well as a barrister in a series that I've forgotten the name of! :-)
