I haven't seen the pilot in a while and was recently taken to task regarding the plot holes a child could see through but, plot holes not withstanding, it seemed closer to the source material(if the butler/valet had been named Horace that would definitely have been a good touch)than the Kilmer film, which could've been called "The Angel" and no one would've been the wiser.
I'll take Simon Dutton & Clarke over Kilmer any day.
