I'm in no way defending it. But if it's going to be aimed at a US
audience, then at this moment in time this is the type of show story
line they're being fed. Look at "Heroes", "Lost" "Dexter" etc.
I agree with every word that's been said but they're not out to please
us the traditional Saint fans alone. They need a show pilot that a major
company will spot and see it's potential for huge ratings in what is
after all a cut throat drama TV business.
I just hope it gets commissioned and they can write a series where
Simon's character can develop into a lone adventurer, Patricia will be
by his side, Teal will develop a paunch that can be poked, and the
ungodly who are above the law will never feel safe from The Saint's
justice....
