[Theepistle] Saintly Shots (fwd)

I'll grant that adapitng the Saint for a musical is not the most ludicrous idea I've heard. However, the odds that it would have been done well are exceedingly slim. Just look at the list you offered as an example of how the source material and the end result are often widely (and wildly) disparate in quality. For every Sweeny Todd there is a Superman waiting to happen. There is apparently a Spiderman musical in the works at the moment. I am willing to go out on a limb and say it will be horrible. Even the classics are often subjected to horrible treatment when they start singing. The Three Musketeers anyone? Little Women? No, I think we should be thankful that Simon's little ditties about the ungodly were never committed to music.

>(Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd), The Saint should be a breeze to adapt.
