[Theepistle] A "Saintly" Adventurer...

Hi, all,

Michael's remembrance of Tony Fransciosa actually reminded
me that there's a new current Cable TV series here in the
States that has a strong Saintly flavor to it.

The USA Network has a series called "White Collar," about
Neal Caffrey, a brilliant con-man, art thief, and all around
rogue, handsome and blue-eyed and amazingly charming, who
has been caught, twice, by a brilliant FBI agent, and is now
on a sort of "Work Release" arrangement, where he is in the
custody of the FBI, and helping the only agent who ever
caught him to bust bad guys.

The premise is, of course, reminiscent of the 70s series
"It Takes a Thief," with Robert Wagner as Alexander Munday,
but the Caffrey character is a very Simon Templaresque one,
and I think if he'd lived to see it, the series would have
made Leslie Charteris smile.
